The song title pretty much speaks for its subject and content. It comes to us from the superb singer/guitarist Charlie Jordan. He was born in 1890 and died in 1954 spending most of his life in St Louis. His ‘other’ occupation was that of a bootlegger and in 1928 he was shot in the spine. The injury left him unable to walk without crutches. From 1930 to 1937 he released many singles and was well known. Later he accompanied Big Joe Williams on guitar.
